Broadway Mechanical is a Bay Area construction company that that specializes in infrastructure construction for new buildings including plumbing and HVAC installation. With clients that rely on timely information and complete work, it was important for Broadway Mechanical to have a network it could rely upon. This Bay Area business had been growing rapidly since its conception and it had begun to grow out of it Windows Small Business Server 2003 environment. It was important that they migrate to a system that allows for growth as well as secure remote access for its remote end users. Furthermore, they wanted an IT provider that would complete the entire project on time and with little or no interruptions to their end users.

 

Solution

PC Professional recognized that Broadway Mechanical had outgrown the small business server from Microsoft, and thus proposed moving to a new server with Windows Server 2008. With Windows Server 2008, Broadway Mechanical gained an O/S platform that allows for ease of administration and reliability. With a Windows Server 2008 environment, PC Professional implemented Microsoft Terminal Services. PC Professional has been a Trusted IT Consultant to the Bay Area for over 28 years, and in this time we have developed a technology project process that when followed by ensures full client satisfaction. Prior to installation, Broadway Mechanical’s IT environment was replicated in our test laboratory so that our technicians could test the project and mitigate possible obstacles before interrupting a client’s productivity. By rolling out the server with a three phased approach, the Broadway Mechanical Server Migration and Installation Project had little to no interruptions to the end users and there was amble time to migrate and install the new servers.
